Every photo on this website comes from one real build: the founder's own house in Zimbabwe.

It started in 2023 with a cleared plot, setting-out strings and a site cabin. Then came hand-dug trenches, foundation walls, brickwork, the roof, plaster, windows, paint and solar, until the house was finished in 2025. Many of the people you see working in those photos are family.

I organised that build myself, without a guide or anyone to check with. Every stage brought new questions. What needs doing before the next payment? Is this work done properly? Which approval comes next, and who do I ask? What should I be keeping a record of? Too often I found the answer only after the mistake had already cost time and money. Looking back, many of those mistakes could have been avoided with the right steps, the right checks and the right advice at the right moment.

That is why I created BuyBuild Companion: to give you the companion I didn't have.
